When you call Georgetown Electric Company you will be greeted kindly by a real person with a professional attitude, ready to schedule an appointment at a time that works best with your schedule. At the time of scheduling, they will need your full name, address, and phone number. To speed up the billing process, you can provide your email at this time as well. 

We charge hourly for service calls that involve troubleshooting to repair an issue in the electrical system. It is always a one hour minimum. Minor issues average 1 to 2 hours to find the problem and repair it. If our electrician discovers a major problem, they will consult with their supervisor and offer you a quote to repair the issue(s).

Installs usually are quoted. Installs include items like ceiling fans or fixtures. Installation quotes can vary for several reasons so the associate you are on the phone with will ask specific questions in order to provide you with the most accurate quote we can. Most small installs are quoted over the phone. However, the associate may require that you schedule an appointment for a qualified estimator to meet someone at the property to discuss the scope of work. This is common on larger projects like remodeling or new construction.

When the project has been completed, an invoice will be presented to the customer. Payment is due immediately unless other arrangements have been made prior to any work being started. Payments can be made in the form of cash, check or credit card. We do not except pay apps or crypto. All invoicing is electronic so we will require an email at this time. Your email is only used for us to better serve you and will never be shared with anybody for any reason.

If you call before 10 am we can schedule an electrician to come out the same day (in most cases) at no extra charge. If the problem can be resolved before 5pm, the electrician will begin the repair. If the repair is going to extend beyond our normal working hours, after hour charges will apply, or we can schedule a day to come do the repairs within our normal working hours. Your electrician will discuss all of your options with you.
